This page describes what MrKan collects and what we do with it. It is written against the trial form as that form actually is today, not against a template — so when the form changes, this page changes with it.

Part 1 — In plain language

This half is the summary, written to be read. Part 2 says the same things in the language a privacy policy is expected to use, and where the two differ Part 2 governs.

What this website collects

The public pages — the landing page, this page and the terms — set no cookies, load no analytics and no trackers, and record nothing about you. The only external request any page makes is to Google Fonts for the three typefaces, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details in the ordinary course of serving a font file.

What the trial form collects

The early-access form asks for seven things. Two more are recorded automatically, and they are listed here rather than left implied:

Submissions are stored in a database (Cloudflare D1) inside our own Cloudflare account, and are used to review your application and to reply to you. There is no third-party form service, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking script on this site — so nothing here is shared with anyone in order to make the form work.

What we do not do with it

• We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers.
• We do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for. A reply about your trial is not a newsletter.
• We do not use it to build a profile of you or your company.

Board data, once you have a board

A hosted board holds what you put on it — cards, comments, attachments, and the record of who did what and when. That record is the product: MrKan attributes every write, and an audit trail you could opt out of would not be one.

Agents you connect act under their own accounts with their own tokens, and their writes are attributed to them exactly as a person’s are. An agent’s access is the board grants it has been given and nothing wider.

Asking for it back, or asking us to delete it

Ask, and we will export everything on your boards and hand it to you, or delete it. There is no form for this and no waiting period we impose on ourselves; a board you cannot leave is not one we want to sell.

Changes to this page

We update this page when what we collect changes, and the date at the top is when it last changed — that is the thing to check.

There is no mailing list for this page, so we will not email you when it changes. If you have already applied and want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted, the contact details are in the next section and we will answer.

MrKan is operated by Stuffly LLC, which is the company responsible for the information described on this page. To ask what we hold about you, to ask for it back, or to ask us to delete it, use any of these — the same details as on the terms page:

Email is the fastest of these, and it reaches a person rather than a queue.

Part 2 — The legal detail

Part 1 says the same things in fewer words. Where the two differ, this part governs. It uses “we” and “us” for Stuffly LLC, the company that operates MrKan, and “you” for the person whose information it is.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us. When you apply for early access through the form on this website, we collect the name, work email address, company, country, team size and description of intended use that you enter, and a LinkedIn profile address if you choose to provide one. The LinkedIn field is optional and the form is submitted without it.

1.2 Information recorded automatically with an application. When an application is submitted we record the time of submission, the description your browser sends of itself (its user agent), and the two-letter country code that Cloudflare derives from the network connection. We do not record or store the IP address itself for website applications.

1.3 Information we do not collect on this website. This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies, runs no third-party tracking script, and uses no third-party form service. We do not buy information about you from data brokers.

1.4 Information processed once you have a board. If you are invited and begin using the hosted Service, we additionally process your board content and operational and connection metadata as described in section 6 of the Terms of Service — which may include IP addresses, session identifiers, request events and diagnostic logs. That is a wider set than this website collects, it begins only when you have an account, and it exists to run, secure and meter the Service.

2. How we use your information

We use the information in section 1.1 and 1.2 to read and decide on your application, to reply to you, to set up a board against your email address if you are invited, and to keep a record of applications in the order they arrived. We use information in section 1.4 to operate, secure, meter and support the Service, to prevent abuse and fraud, and to comply with law.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it. We will not add you to a marketing list you did not ask to join; a reply about your application is not a newsletter.

3. When we share your information

We share information only in these circumstances:

• Service providers who process it on our behalf. Applications submitted through this website are stored using Cloudflare, which hosts this site and provides the database the applications are written to. If we enable email notifications, an email delivery provider will process the contents of an application in order to deliver that message to us. These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
• Where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
• To protect people — to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or threats to the security or rights of any person.
• In a corporate transaction. If Stuffly LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of it. We will say so on this page before that information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

4. How we protect your information

Traffic to and from this website is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Applications are stored in a database in our own Cloudflare account rather than on a third-party form service, and access to it requires credentials held by us. Access to the hosted Service is authenticated by tokens issued per account, and a token grants access only to the boards it has been granted.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed or disclosed in a way that this policy does not describe, and you send information to us at your own risk.

5. Transfer of user information to other countries

Stuffly LLC is established in the United States, and applications submitted through this website are stored in a database located in the western United States. If you are located outside the United States — including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland — the information you submit is transferred to, and processed in, the United States, whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country and may not provide an equivalent level of protection.

By submitting an application you understand that your information will be transferred and processed as described here. If you would like to know more about the safeguards applied to such a transfer, or you would prefer not to have your information transferred, write to us at support@stuffly.co before applying.

6. Your privacy rights and choices

Whatever your location, you may ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you, and provide a copy of it;
• correct it, if it is wrong or out of date;
• delete it, including withdrawing an application you have already sent;
• stop using it, or object to a particular use.

Ask by writing to support@stuffly.co from the address you applied with, or by post to the address in section 8. We will not charge you for making a request and we will not treat you differently for having made one. We may need to confirm who you are before acting, so that we do not disclose one person's information to another.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to complain to your national data-protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in the CCPA as amended, including the rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing — noting that, as stated in section 3, we do neither.

7. Updates to this privacy policy

We update this page when what we collect or how we use it changes. The date at the top of the page is the date it last changed, and it is the thing to check. There is no mailing list for this page and we will not email you when it changes; if a change is significant and we hold an address for you, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you directly.

Continuing to use the website or the Service after a change takes effect means the updated policy applies to you.
